font-family: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-family ), Sans-serif; font-size: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-size ); font-weight: var( --e-global-typography-text-font-weight ); background-color: var( --e-global-color-3200372 );\">, as accompaniment through the immigration legal process and as support in overcoming the consequences of sexual assault, as well as all the issues at the intersection of these two experiences.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><u>Program specificities:<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In addition to English and French, we offer the Monarch Project&#8217;s services (exclusively) in Spanish, Portuguese, Kirundi and Kinyarwanda.<\/li>\n<li>Our counsellors are trained to offer <b>psychosocial follow-up adapted to the reality<\/b> of people with no status or with a precarious status.<\/li>\n<li>Due to the precariousness of our presence on the territory, people integrating the Monarque Project<b> have access to a separate waiting list<\/b> from the rest of the Centre, and can therefore access services more quickly.<\/li>\n<li>Services can be provided in more central locations than our West Island Centre, closer to public transportation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In particular, migratory legal procedures involving the testimony of experiences of sexual assault(s), such as asylum applications based on gender-based violence, can be particularly exhausting and retraumatizing for those who go through them.<\/p>\n<p>We therefore believe it is essential that support is available to ensure safety and well-being throughout the process, whatever the outcome.
